Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has been tested as an effective, non-drug treatment for major depression for the first time in a large-scale study, which has been reported in the journal Biological Psychiatry.

An investigational treatment using magnetic energy has helped 23-year-old Nicole Johnson make strides along the road to independence and recovery after sustaining a closed-head injury more than six years ago. In 2001, an 86-year-old woman crashed her car into the Farmer Jack store where Johnson was working, located in Sterling Heights at 17 Mile Road and Van Dyke. Necessary surgery following the accident required part of Johnson’s brain to be removed. As a result, she encountered problems with her balance, had difficulty speaking and endured tremors.
PERLIS MUFTI: MAGNETIC BRACELET NOT HARAM.
KUALA LUMPUR: The wearing of magnetic bracelets or necklaces for health reasons by Muslims is not haram (forbidden). This is the view of Perlis Mufti Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin over the contention that the wearing of a magnetic bracelet to help cure one's sickness was not allowed.
He said Muslims should not generalise perceptions by claiming certain things as haram. Dr Asri said some parties, in coming out with the haram hukum (ruling), had misunderstood Islamic ruling.

PAIN IN THE HIP
I have been given your address by my friend, Mrs. ..........., & wondered if you can recommend what I could use to help a pain which I get in my hip. My G.P. gave me a steroid injection which helped a bit but still find slightly painful when going upstairs. Trusting you can help......UK

The magnets themselves are very strong and do last for about 10 years. However the plasters that attach them to the body need changing every four or five days. ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS

MTL - One of the points we have had over many years now is customers report after using magnetic therapy for some time is a reduction in panic/anxiety and also depression problems. This feedback has never though been focused on any single product. more just using Magnetic Therapy in general, although both Magnetic Bracelets and Necklaces appear to help best. We would point out that this is just an opinion, but an opinion reported many many times over quite a long time now, and not just to us.
MAGNETIC BRACELETS & WATCHES
Is it OK to wear the bracelet on the same wrist and a wrist watch?......UK
MTL - Yes, but if it is an expensive watch (Rolex, Cartier) with very fine balancing it could stop the watch. This will of course start again with a gentle shake and no damage is done. Normal watches are usualy ok. Of couse if it became a problem, just use the other wrist.

PAIN RELIEF & MAGNETIC BRACELETS
I already have a magnetic bracelet which I wear on my left arm, but would like to know whether wearing another bracelet on my right arm, would be beneficial for my arthritic fingers in my left hand ?.....UK
MTL - It certainly would not do you any harm. But we could not say it would increase the effect of the Bracelet you already have. A ring directly on the finger would probably help a lot more. Although Magnetic Bracelets help a lot of conditions and give many people a sense of 'well being' putting magnets on or near the painful/damaged area appears to be a far better and faster solution for 'pain relief'.
PAINFUL REPETATIVE STRAIN INJURY.
I look forward to receiving my order soon. I have bought them as presents, as I visited the Mind Body and Spirit Festival last year and bought one of your bracelets for myself and found it does have benefit when I get pains from my osteo-arthritis and seems to relieve my rsi....UK
