Welcome to our September Newsletter.....As Christmas is on the horizon, just a little reminder to order early for those special Christmas gifts. MAGNETIC THERAPY HELPS CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN

The study on pelvic floor magnetic therapy was published in the “Journal of Urology” (2005). Men who were categorized as category III prostatitis were treated either with magnetic therapy or placebo therapy, twice weekly for four weeks.

Symptom scores decreased significantly for the men who received the magnetic therapy and remained decreased at 3 months and 1 year after treatment. Pain was the symptom that improved the most during the study. Chronic prostatitis is considered a disease of unknown etiology in the majority of cases and is often considered the most common cause of chronic pelvic syndrome in men.

WORLD LEADERS SEEK CURE FOR A PAIN IN THE NECK
Magnetic Treatment May Help People With Spinal Cord Injuries.

A preliminary study has shown for the first time that it may be possible to help people who have suffered partial damage to their spinal cord by applying a magnetic therapy to their brain. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), leading to improvements in their ability to move muscles and limbs, and ability to feel sensations.

MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES BASED ON METALLIC IRON FOR 
POTENTIAL CANCER TREATMENT

Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University have created highly magnetized nanoparticles based on metallic iron that could be used in a non-invasive therapy for cancer in which treatment would begin at the time of detection. “By engineering the magnetic properties of enhanced ferrites, it is possible to develop materials for the treatment of various cancers, such as breast cancer,” said Everett E. Carpenter, at VCU.

DNA-MAGNETIC FIELDS
Red blood cells fitted with artificial tails.

They might look like sperm swimming backwards, but red blood cells have become the first living cells to be fitted with an artificial tail. As the tail whips back and forth, the cell moves tail-first at a cool 6 micrometers per second - about 10 times as slow as sperm swim.

The secret to the cell's motion lies in the composition of the tail - a filament of tiny magnetic beads held rigidly together by strands of DNA. When an oscillating magnetic field is applied to the cells, they move through the fluid as their tails bend to align themselves with the constantly reversing direction of the magnetic field.

The microscopic swimmers might one day provide a way to direct medicines through the bloodstream to exactly the right spot, says Remi Dreyfus, who created the device with colleagues at France's Ecole Supérieure of industrial physics and chemistry in Paris.

STRESS

Stress is regarded as being a healthy condition. If you do not have a certain level of stress, life would be very boring and unexciting. Stress can be useful when it awakens our creativity and demands our best. Or stress can be harmful if it demands more of us than we have to give. In this present day, with the pace of modern living, stress plays a very big part in breaking down the defense mechanisms in the body.

Continuous high levels of stress can contribute to heart disease, hypertension, strokes, anxiety, migraine, insomnia, obesity, impotence and whole host of other problems. Most illness is related to unrelieved stress

How do we know if we are over stressed? Do you suffer from any of the above problems? If so how were they caused? Can you relate to any of the habits listed below.

Do you smoke ? Why do you smoke.?

Do you drink more than 5 units of alcohol per week? Why?

Do you overeat? Why?

How can we manage Stress.?

What is your problem.? Identify it. How do you respond?

Change .Can you take a break from a stressful situation. 
Can you take time out to make a change, and to seek help.

Reduce your reactions to stress. Ask yourself "Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill". Are you over reacting to a given situation. Think positive. The glass is half full, not half empty.

Slow Down Relaxation techniques will help reduce muscle tension. Meditation, prayer, massage, reflexology, magnet therapy and self - hypnosis are just a few methods that help.

Pathway to recovery. Eat a well balanced diet. Maintain your ideal weight. Exercise regularly, prolonged rhythmic exercise, swimming walking and cycling are considered the most useful. Avoid stimulants, cola, coffee, cigarettes and alcohol.

Maintain a stress free existence. Continue your relaxation. Develop new interests friends and relationships. Anticipate change, plan ahead.

CHANGE OF SEASONS

In the UK   we are changing the season and this has subtle effects on our physical wellbeing. It may be the changes in temperature or changes to length of daylight, or changes in our mental and emotional expectations. What ever the mechanism, we are more susceptible to illness at the changes of seasons. Colds start to get passed on around the home, school and work place. Changes to our metabolic rate subtle changes to our immune system all play a part in this.

What can we do about it? Ensure we have enough Vit C in our diet, use Echinacea at the first symptom and use magnets. Wrist bracelets, spot magnets on Spleen 6, large intestine 4. These all help the system by improving the flows of energy. The more help we give it the less ill health we suffer.

MAGNETIC BRACELETS IN THE SHOWER

I have ordered a bracelet and ring from you and just wanted to know if its ok to wear 
the bracelet in the bath or shower? It is the Cookson JPC-254.

Yes........both will be fine in the shower......but not for the washing up or swimming.
As washing up liquid and chlorine (swimming pools) are chemicals that will eventually
effect the cosmetic appearance (though not the magnetic performance)


MIGRAINES (Many Letters)

I have suffered from very severe migraines for 15 years and am interested in trying a magnetic bracelet to see if it offers any relief. Would you recommend any particular bracelet in your range as more suitable for this condition ?  (or indeed any other piece of jewellery that I could wear all the time?
We have had a much feedback over many years all saying how helpful the Tranquility Ball bracelets 
have been to help with Migraine. You may well receive fast short term relief with the Headband.


MAGNETIC THERAPY AND VISION (Many Letters)

I wanted to know whether the eye mask can help in improving distance vision. I have 2 kids both wearing glasses of power less than -1.0.  Will using an eye mask help?.....UK

PANIC ANXIETY ATTACKS (Many Letters)


I found you site online and wondered if you could help/advise me?  
I am 45 and have suffered from ME for over 10 years now and although much improved still 
have residual symptoms and suffer from panic/anxiety attacks also. 

 

One of the points we have had over many years now is customers report after using magnets

for some time is a reduction in panic/anxiety problems. This feedback has never though been

focused on any single product.....more just using Magnetic Therapy. We would point out that 

this is just an opinion, but an opinion reported many times over quite a few years now.



DOG WITH IDENTITY MICRO CHIP (Many Letters)

 

I recently received your brochure in the post - can you tell me why a micro-chipped dog should not wear a magnetic collar please ?

We do not recommend using magnet on dogs with an implanted micro chip because the magnets in the collar may damage the micro-chip and could render it ineffective. This is similar to the warning we give for pacemakers and implanted hearing devices also credit cards and any magnetic tapes.

Yesterday I received (very promptly) my order from your company.
