MAGNETIC THERAPY CLINIC OPENS
(CBS 5 NEWS) - Many people wear small magnets for pain, and now the same theory is being used on a larger scale at a clinic in Tucson and it opens next week. Advanced Magnetic Research Institute is one of seven such clinics in the country.
Doctors say magnetic molecular energizing can heal injures and broken bones faster than your body can. It also offers hope for untreatable diseases. A patient lies on a bed and electromagnetic fields are penetrated through the person by a 10,000 pound magnet, which can accelerate the rate of healing.

MAGNETIC THERAPY BRINGS HOPE WITH DEPRESSION.
Magnetic therapy may by the new hope for people suffering from depression. Research shows that many problems in the brain are the result of chemical imbalances. And some of those chemical imbalances are caused by electrical problems. "We are at a very exciting time in psychiatry right now," said Dr. Sarah Lisanby with the New York Psychiatric Institute. "We are just scraping the surface about what potential brain stimulation could add to our treatment options." So now, doctors are testing pulsating magnets. In some cases, the magnets can pinpoint areas of electrical problems, rewire them, and possibly reverse the feeling of depression.

GEOMAGNETIC FIELD AND THE SEX OF A CHILD
Researchers from St. Petersburg have ascertained that formation of a child’s sex depends, among other things, on the geomagnetic field status at the time of conception.
Who will be born – a boy or a girl? The answer to this question that worries all parents is determined by a lot of conditions, including external ones. The scientists of the Central Scientific-Research Institute of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation (St. Petersburg) and the St. Petersburg branch of Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere and Radiopropagation, Russian Academy of Sciences (IZMIRAN), have ascertained that the sex of a child depends, among other things, on the level of disturbances of geomagnetic field status at the time of conception.

MAGNETIC FIELDS AND BABIES
Scientists are baffled by the huge number of multiple births in the Russian city of Kirov which vastly exceeds the general population. Statistics of one in one hundred for twins and one in seven thousand for triplets. Some suggest that a magnetic field might be responsible for the phenomenon, which has also been observed in the small town of Igbo-Ora near Ibadan in Nigeria.

RACING TIPS

A few people still doubt the efficiency of Magnet Therapy. My conviction as to the ability of Magnets to heal was brought home to me only last week.
Earlier this month a friend of mine, lets call him Pat, attended the Cheltenham Festival. For the uninitiated this is a four day series of horse races, world class with about two hundred spectators, and a lot of horses. My friend is handicapped, an amputee, he lost a leg many years ago in a logging accident. He travels over from Ireland to the Festival every year. His annual holiday! On the second day tragedy struck. In the crush of the crowds Pat sustained a kick to his ankle. He was given the normal treatment. (ICE). Ice, compression and elevation. Treatment reduced the swelling a little Realizing that it was impractical to stay he set out to drive home. North to Liverpool and then over to Ireland on the car ferry. One can only guess at the discomfort, badly bruised ankle, on his only leg and he unable to take pain killers.
On arriving home his wife applied two Super Magnets, one either side of his ankle. The swelling disappeared overnight. Pat was fortunate that his wife was a part time therapist. Two days later the ankle was badly discoloured but with no pain.

ACHILLES HEEL
I received your catalogue the other day. I have a problem with both my achilles tendons, and have had surgery. I still have a lot of pain and swelling and wondered if the magnetic ankle chains would help me with this. If you could please let me know so I can make an order.....UK
An Ankle Chains may help a little and they look nice as well. However, the Ankle/Foot support would be best (BBP-26) especially if worn in bed at night when the body is relaxed.

MAGNETIC WATER POWER PAD
Do these work on plastic bottles or is it better with glass ? ......UK
They actually work on plastic better, as there is greater penetration through plastic than glass.

MOTHER WITH ARTHRITIS
My mother suffers from arthritis in one of her knees. Would a magnetic bracelet worn on the wrist be any good to her. I don't quite understand how it all works!....UK
Yes, a Bracelet could help. However, a Knee Support may ease the problem a little faster.
Applying specialist magnets (as in a Knee Wrap) directly to the problem area generally works better for most people, as long as it is worn. Bracelets on the other hand are very easy to wear.

FIBROSITIS IN THE UPPER BACK
I already own a magnetic back belt supplied by you and have found it very satisfactory for the relief of low-back pain. I also suffer occasionally with muscular pain and Fibrositis in the upper back area between and around the shoulder blades. None of your products seems to cover this area specifically...it's as though I need a waistcoat with a magnetic back to it! Which of your products do you suggest might be most effective? Thanks for your help.......UK
The Gold 9000 Spot magnets would be ideal for your shoulders. Not only are they very easy to use.....they are also very strong. This magnetic strength is important as the shoulder area is quite dense with muscle and tissue, and less powerful magnets will not penetrate very well. The Gold 9000 can be left on until the plasters need changing......which is about a week depending how often you shower or bath. We sell re-placement plasters, you can in fact cut up ordinary household plasters and use them. The Gold 9000 magnets themselves will last up to ten years and used for many different body areas.

FROZEN SHOULDER
I have a frozen shoulder and am not sure what is the best way of using magnet therapy - should I get the spot magnets or the shoulder wrap? I am not sure about the shoulder wrap as I feel it would show under tops, would the spot magnets be as effective? Should I wear them all the time? I would appreciate any help/advice you could give. Thanks.........USA
I myself get pain in the Shoulder if I allow it to get too cold. It stems from an old sports injury. I always put the Gold 9000 Spot Magnets for a few days, and then it is fine. The Shoulder wraps work ok too, but need to be worn for a few days to gain maximum benefit. It is a matter of choice really.

SPREADING THE WORD
I recently bought one of your premier chain bracelets and I must say I am absolutely amazed by the result. Within 3 hours, my sciatica in my leg and a pain in my shoulder (both of which I've suffered from for almost a year) have completely disappeared. Usually I have to unfurl my body when I get out of bed in the morning and now I leap up feeling great.
