PAIN

Pain is described in various ways. The formal definition of pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience which we primarily associate with tissue damage. A sensation that hurts. Arthralgia is the pain in a joint due to Arthritis. Central Pain is the pain associated with a lesion of the central nervous system. Dermatome describes pain of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. There are many other descriptions

Pain and disease begin when conditions cause the capillary pores to dilate and allow the escape of significant quantities of blood proteins into the cellular area. This crowding of the proteins attracts fluid (inflammation), causes pain and deprives some of the cells in the area of proper oxygen and nutrients, resulting in poor cellular functioning. These malfunctioning cells, if not carried away and disposed of by the lymphatic system, begin to destroy healthy cells.

According to Dr C Samuel West, chemist and internationally recognized lymphologist, trapped blood proteins are the one common denominator present in all pain and disease. His many years of research have shown that trapped blood proteins, on a moderate scale, produce the conditions on a cellular level that cause pain, inflammation, viral infections, bacterial infections, allergies, parasites, low energy levels, heart disease, cancer, obesity, high blood pressure, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, polio, cerebral palsy and all the other crippling and serious diseases known to man.

Since pain can be caused by different conditions the cause of the pain should be determined.

Conventional treatment varies. In a Pain Clinic the person’s pain would be measured using Pain Assessment Tools allowing patients to accurately describe the intensity of their pain. Treatment ranges from Morphine to Ibuprofen. All treatments under the supervision of a Doctor.

The Alternative. Placing a "D-Max Neodymium" magnet, seating the North Pole over the effected area of pain. In a joint area it may be more beneficial to place the Magnet to the side of the site. Continue until pain is relieved. For the more active person I recommend one of the Therapeutic Wraps, with the addition of a "D-Max" for faster results. For continued benefit even when you sleep, the Bliss magnetic overlay can be very helpful. Further details of treatments using Magnet Therapy are in my book "Magnet Therapy—A Powerful Healing Force". CRAMP & POOR CIRCULATION (R) By Peter Rose FSI

Cramp, that odd sensation generally known as "pins and needles", coldness in fingers and toes and
numbness in localized areas are all symptoms of poor circulation.
A medical check up, to ensure that this poor circulation is not due to a problem with the heart or
blood vessels, is the first step. This is very important in all cases but particularly when there is
a sudden numbness in a localized area.
Stress is often the root cause of poor circulation but poor circulation can also be a family, i.e. inherited, problem. Good levels of exercise are important and the use of generous amounts of root
ginger and garlic in the diet will be beneficial in the long term.

POOR CIRCULATION
If you suffer from poor circulation then take extra care when you are cold. Do not try to do sudden movements, particularly when under load, (that is when the muscles are likely to be over-stretched or
strained) in any way. If the circulation is poor, it becomes even more important to ensure the
quality of the blood and its ability to carry oxygen and nutrients is the best that can be achieved.
This is where magnets, diet and exercise come in.
Poor circulation results in low energy levels and in muscles that are weak and painful. Yoga helps
with releasing tense and restricted joints and muscles, and so frees up the circulation.
The spot magnets and wraps that have built in magnets, available from Magnetic Therapy Ltd, can
be used to improve poor circulation and sluggish blood flow. Magnets, placed to encircle a limb
between the area most affected and the heart, improve blood flow and so reduce the effects of
poor circulation.

Everyone knows the compass points north because the Earth possesses a magnetic field similar to that of a bar magnet at its centre. Anyone involved in map reading will know that magnetic north differs somewhat from true north, and that it changes slowly over time. The magnetic field is generated by a dynamo located in the central core of the Earth, where liquid iron flows at speeds of about 20 kilometers a year, or a fraction of a millimeter per second, and is driven by heat escaping from the core and by light elements rising towards the surface.

SHIATSU PRACTITIONER SOLVES OWN BACK PROBLEM

I am a shiatsu practitioner and use the spot magnets in my practice, also on my husband and myself. I thought you may find the following feedback of interest:
Last winter, for the first time in my life, I experienced back problems. From my own assessment, and that of another practitioner who specializes in back problems, it was a mechanical problem connected with the spinal vertebrae, rather than a prolapsed disc. Symptoms: sudden movement or twist would cause a vertebrae to move very slightly too far and press on a nerve which came across as a warning not to move until things settled, after which I would be left with some muscle stiffness either side of the spine. I had placed the 800 gauss acu-point magnets either side of the affected vertebrae but without any improvement. I then suddenly thought to place them along the bladder meridian from about thoracic 12 (the affected vertebrae) to about a 1/3rd of the way over the buttocks.

SOLUTION
I placed them about 1" apart along microspore tape (now I tend to use your tape) and 2 fingers width from the spine (I also had to place a small strip across the top and bottom of the longer strips to hold them in place). Also, I would press the magnets, one by one, night and morning to stimulate the bladder channel further. After 3 days there was some improvement and after 7 days I could sit, stand, move about without pain. After a few more days my back felt as strong as it had ever been. In considering how this worked, I believe that by supporting the energy of the bladder channel, this supported the muscles (and the spine) which supported the physical spine. Of course I can't say that this would work for everyone but thought you may find my experience of interest......UK-Therapist

MAGNETIC BRACELETS and GAUSS STRENGTH

Please could you confirm the gauss strength of the £12.95 bracelet collection - 1600/1700 gauss TOTAL for each bracelet, or two 1600/1700 gauss magnets in each bracelet -
i.e. 3200/3400 total ?.......USA

No....the magnets in the Bracelet Collection are 1600/1700 each. That is the manufacturers gauss rating at the time of manufacture. It means though, that the bracelet is 1600/1700 gauss in strength not any multiple as you suggested......or in other words adding another magnet would not increase the gauss rating. Gauss Rating is only one indication of the overall strength of a magnet. The size of the magnet is important too.
'Gauss' is a scientific measurement based on the lifting power of magnets and is not a unit of energy.

I just wanted to drop a line to sing the praises of the new "Sports" knee supports - they really are absolutely amazing! I suffer from Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) and Fibromyalgia, and one of the worst aspects of these conditions is the frequent cramps and spasms. In my case I was particularly troubled in both calves. Not only was the pain excruciating, but it was also potentially very dangerous as we live in a house with stairs.....I recently purchased two of the knee supports and the difference has been astounding, quite frankly - even though I have had plenty of experience of the benefits of magnetic therapy! I have had NO cramps and spasms from the very first day I started wearing them. The only "niggles" I've had have been in the morning before putting them on.

RSD is a condition for which even pain consultants have no answers, and to find a product that makes this much difference is a real blessing.
