FRONTIERS OF HEALTH & MAGNETIC SCIENCE

MAGNETIC STIMULATION MAY IMPROVE STROKE RECOVERY

The results of a small preliminary trial suggest that a type of magnetic stimulation of the brain --- repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) -- may produce short-term improvements after stroke. With rTMS, the head is placed close to intermittent magnetic fields. No anesthesia is required and the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. Patients may complain of headaches during rTMS, depending on the strength of the field used.

INSOMNIA

Do you suffer from sleeping problems? There is nothing like a refreshing nights sleep to leave you feeling good and ready to take on the world. How often do we feel like that?

Insomnia is usually temporary and a common condition. Sufferers complain of inability to sleep even when tired, or of a light sleep in which they awake tired. Of the various types of insomnia Chronic Insomnia is indicated when a person has disturbed sleep for over three weeks. The following symptoms are usually present-A general feeling of extreme exhaustion, apathy and irritability during the day. Causes range from incorrect diet, drug side effects, medical conditions, anxiety and depression.

It is vital for our general well being that we have good nights sleep. After the stresses and strains of the day, our bodies need a chance to heal and repair. Lack of sleep can effect our concentration, coping with irritations and accomplishing routine tasks. Research has indicated the importance of sleep in the regulating of blood sugar and in maintaining normal blood pressure.

If you have difficulties sleeping at night avoid eating heavy meals less than four hours before retiring Reduce intake of caffeine, alcohol, smoking and other stimulants in the evening. Avoid eating processed foods and sugar. Lack of exercise can also contribute to insomnia.

To get good nights sleep it is very important to relax before going to bed. Try taking a bath; add a few drops of lavender or chamomile oil to the water. Meditation Yoga or relaxation tape can be beneficial. It is essential that if you suffer from insomnia you must relax and stop worrying about it. Sleeping on a magnetic bed is a very effective method of inducing a restful nights sleep. If possible the head of the bed should be facing north. If this is not possible the North Pole of a magnet should be placed at the head of the bed. Alternatively the North Pole of a D-Max Neodymium Magnet can be placed to the crown of the head for ten minutes before retiring.

DEALING WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS

One of the most frequently asked questions is; how can I learn to treat myself and others?
The time needed to find a practitioner, make appointments, fit these in with work; school runs and everything else in life make it all so difficult to get the prompt attention that will
shorten recovery time. It is an odd thing about the way our modern society works, we do not have time to ensure that small problems get dealt with and do not develop into large ones. The ancient sages used to say a wise man never deals with large problems; he had always sorted out the small ones so they never grew. In England we have a saying "a stitch in time saves
nine." A magnetic bandage wrapped round a "slight niggle" in a knee joint can prevent this becoming a week long painful experience.

Yet we are all guilty of neglecting small health problems because they do not stop us working or carrying out our "duties" to others and we are so busy we don't have time for such small matters. When the small health problem-and this can be emotional, mental or physical.-develops, through neglect, into a larger problem; then we have to use much more total time to deal with it. Magnets are an ideal "mechanism" for preventing the escalation of problems. A new "on line" study course will soon be available which will enable those who complete the course, to maximize the heath care benefits of magnets. I have a business in massage therapy and alternative treatments. I was interested
in taking the course to offer magnetic therapy treatments. They suggested I look on
the internet to find where I could purchase the magnets for my clients afterwards.

What are your suggestions for myself. Should I take the course and learn how to
treat with magnets or do you give a explanation as to how to use the magnets......??

MAGNETIC JEWELLERY AND COMPUTERS (Many letters)
Apologies if this is a daft question but I know that magnets and computers
don't go well together. I use a computer everyday for my job and before I
consider buying one of your bracelets, wondered whether wearing magnetic
jewellery around it is likely to cause any problems.... UK

There is no problem whatsoever using/wearing Magnetic Jewellery whilst
working on computers. We do it all the time. However, if you put a magnet
directly on a Floppy Disc or CD or even a Credit Card and leave it on for
an hour or so it could damage them.

CROWNS AND MAGNETIC THERAPY (Many Letters)
Would the Magnets in the face mask and pillow liner affect the 3 crowns I have ?

Magnets or Magnetic products will not effect your Crowns in any way. The only thing
magnets can effect are other magnetic items like micro-chips and cassette tapes.....and any
implanted health products that contain micro-chips, like pacemakers (which is an absolute
no for magnetic therapy) and implanted security chips that are used for animals.

HAY FEVER & NASAL ALLERGIES (3)
I am looking for something to help with hay fever. Have you any suggestions.

A Ceramic Wafer Magnet can be placed on the area between the Eyebrows (Third Eye)
for about an hour a day. Attach with tape. This has worked very well for many people.

REAL GOLD BRACELETS (2)

I am interested in finding a solid gold magnetic bracelet because I am fed up with getting 'green wrists'!! No matter if I get 'plated' or copper it still eventually turns my wrists green. Is there such a thing as solid 9ct gold magnetic bracelets? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.... UK

Can you get magnetic bracelets in 9ct gold, the type of bracelet I had in
mind was the same design as your 'tranquility ball' bracelet., The reason I
want gold is that the more common gold coloured bracelets discolour after a
period of time..... USA

No, real Gold does not carry magnetism very well. (Although we are working on it)
However, you will not get a green wrist or any discoloration from any of our PREMIER Bracelets or any Haematite only Bracelets...

MAGNETIC THERAPYT AND SAFETY (Many Letter)
"You give a warning about using magnets near Pacemakers, Computers, Credit Cards !
I wear a hearing aid, and use a computer, does that mean I cannot use your
magnetic products ?... USA

Pacemakers - The answer is absolute......
DO NOT USE MAGNETS IF YOU WEAR A PACEMAKER.

Computers...In theory, magnets could affect your computer and if you were to attach a strong magnet directly to one, it probably would affect it. However, we have literally thousand of magnets in our office and our computers are fine. As for wearing a magnetic product when working on a computer....again, we do it all the time.

Credit Card - Disks - Cassette Tapes... If you were to put a strong magnet directly on a credit card, disk or cassette for a long time it could and probably would damage it. Handling any of these whilst wearing a magnetic bracelet or wrap would not.

The best advice we can give is "to keep all magnets away from all appliances"
Obviously tempered with a bit of common sense.
