FRONTIERS OF HEALTH & MAGNETIC SCIENCE
STRONG MAGNETIC FIELDS AID SEVERE DEPRESSION
British Journal of Psychiatry (vol. 186 [2005], pp. 410-416).
For severe depression, electro-shock therapy is nowadays the last hope. However, it can impair memory for weeks after therapy. A less aggressive alternative seems to be provided by what is known as “transcranial magnetic stimulation”. This is the conclusion arrived at by doctors and psychologists of the Bonn University Clinic in an article which has just appeared in the British Journal of Psychiatry.

SUNSTROKE

Sunstroke sometimes referred to as Heatstroke, is a life threatening condition.
Caused simply by over exertion usually in a hot climate combined with not taking sufficient fluids. That is the very simple explanation.
Who is at risk? Most at risk are those with below average fitness levels. Can you run two hundred meters to catch a bus? Young children, the elderly, sufferers of almost all chronic disorders. Sunstroke commonly occurs in children with cystic fibrosis. A large range of prescribed medications interfere with body temperature regulation. Diuretics being the obvious group of preparations. The others range from beta blockers to antipsychotics. If going on a climbing holiday think of consulting your doctor
Symptoms. Range from no perspiration, hot dry skin with a pale or purple colour, confusion to loss of consciousness. Heat stroke is a medical emergency.
Treatment. Keep patient cool. Administer water with a little salt added. Call for medical assistance
Prevention, If you are unfit, take account of your fluid intake, and reduce your physical activity. If you want to get fit, go jogging every winter evening, rather than trying to climb a mountain whilst on holiday. Should you still persist in exerting yourself past your normal limits I recommend you drink any good "Sports drink", during your exercise this will help maintain the normal levels of electrolytes in your blood in addition to maintaining fluid levels? Drink before you feel thirsty. The goal is to adjust your fluid intake to how much you perspire.
After a high level of activity you will find you have the normal aches and pains from unaccustomed exercise. For those aching knees I recommend the magnetic "Knee Support". If driving a car for long periods the "Magnetic Office/ Car Seat" is highly recommended.

The holidays (vacation) season is in full swing, so this is a reminder about taking magnets on Aircraft. We have mentioned this before, but here is another reminder.
Under aviation regulations, magnets have to be bubble wrapped. This is so that there is no possibility of them interfering with the electronics of the aircraft. Wearing a Magnetic Bracelet would not be a problem, but if you are thinking of taking some of the bigger magnets on holiday with you remember to wrap them well in a good bubble wrap. In fact, why not put the Magnetic Bracelet in the bubble wrap as well?

MAGNETS AND HOMOEOPATHY

You should never store magnets and homoeopathic remedies (tinctures or
tablets) in the same place. They should be at least 30cm apart. This
does not mean they can not be combined to great benefit when trying to
improve health. Arnica 6 is well known for treatment of bruises where the skin is not
broken. Adding magnets as an external treatment will speed up the rate
of improvement. Bandages or supports with magnets in them, wrapped round
the area, or spot magnets placed in the centre and a circle around the
bruise can be used while taking the arnica.
ACUPUNCTURE
In general magnets can be used to improve the absorption of "internal"
medications such as Flower essences and homoeopathic remedies. Use spot
magnets on Large Intestine 4, Stomach 36 and Spleen 6.
Flower remedies also can get improved action by being combined with the
use of magnets.

I write to you with a question. My father has been wearing a copper magnet bracelet around his wrist and feels a great relief with his arthritis & carpel tunnel problems.
He has a chronic problem with his ankle (no surgery or treatment can help him). He wanted to know if wearing one on his wrist & one on his ankle at the same time would give a negative sensation or one bracelet could negatively impact the relief of the other ?.....UK
There is no problems wearing two or even three Magnetic Therapy products. Many people do, and also drink magnetic water, and even sleep on a Magnetic Overlay.

I would like to purchase one of your bracelets as I have a lot of back pain, but I have had a hip replacement so is it not possible for me to use it....USA

We always recommend that any major surgery is fully healed (normally 12 months) first. There is no problem using a Magnetic Bracelet.
MAGNETIC BRACELETS AND WATCHES (Many Letters)
I have just placed an order (by telephone) for a Lennon style chain bracelet but forgot to ask if these bracelets are suitable for wearing on the same arm as a wristwatch as that is the arm I would need to wear it on.....UK
I am delighted with the 2 magnetic bracelets I have bought from you and which I have worn for approximately 2 months now. However, the only problem I have is that since I wear the bracelets on my left hand wrist, which is where I have arthritic pain in both hips and knee joint, I find that the magnets interfere with the smooth running of my battery operated watches. I have tried wearing the watch on the right hand wrist, but after nearly 60 years of left hand use, I find it difficult to change my ways! Do you have any advice and has this problem cropped up before?....USA
Yes, the problem has cropped up before, but only with the very top of the range watches like Rolex or Cartier, which I believe is because they are very finely balanced. It does not damage the watch in any way. However it does occasionally stop it, gently shaking the watch will restart as you are probably aware. The obvious solution is to wear one of them (bracelet or watch) on the opposite wrist. Another solution would be to wear a less expensive watch. Failing that we have not yet been able to solve the problem......

Can the above be helpful for stress and anxiety or just beneficial to the wrist area ?
I am interested to know if you wear these bracelets, with the two ball magnets, on the palm side of your wrist or on the top? Can you give me any tips on which arm you wear them, etc.....USA
Wear the Balls on the pulse area of the wrist. (Balls to Palm Side). A Theory says; for reducing 'stress' use either wrist, but to improve sleeping wear on the right wrist, this is said to have a calming effect on the left hand side of the brain. However it is only a 'theory'.
We do have had a lot of good feedback though about both. The Premier Ball and the Tranquility Ball Bracelets helping to reduce stress. The Premier Ball Bracelets are a more expensive, stronger and better quality version of the Tranquility Ball Bracelets which are both used by many people to reduce the tension in the neck and shoulders, which often lead to headaches. So the answer is 'Yes' they may well help.
LONGEVITY OF MAGNETIC BRACELETS
We have a customer enquiring about the longevity of the magnetic
bracelets and how long the magnets stay effective....UK-STOCKIST
We recommend customers re-new the Bracelets every three years, however this
is as much to do with the 'cosmetic appearance' as well as the magnetic strength.
MAGNETIC BRACELETS LONGEVITY
This depends on the magnets, but yes they can lose but up to 33% over the first five years of life. A lot depends on the quality, materials used and the size of magnets. Neodymium (Rare Earth) holds it strength better than others, but obviously it is more expensive.
