MAGNETS AND ANIMALS

Many of us are familiar with the positive effect magnet therapy has on us humans. But what of animals? Do magnets help relieve pain and discomfort as they do in Homo sapiens.

Magnetic Therapy is perhaps more widely used in the treatment of certain disorders in thoroughbred race horses, than the people that watch them race. Are they more valuable?

The main indications for Magnet Therapy are musculoskeletal problems such as arthritis in joints such as elbows, knees as well as with back problems. Fracture healing in horses can be speeded up by up to 40%. Using magnets along with conventional fracture repair methods.

My personal experiences have been restricted to small animals, cats and dogs, suffering injuries and tumours. One soon finds out that animals need a different approach to that of humans. For rapid healing I only use one type of magnet. The "D-Max Neodymium Magnet". Apply the magnet to the effected area North Pole facing in... If I am dealing with a fracture I tape the magnet to the plaster or bandage. Problems arise when the area to be treated is within reach of the animal. You may have to replace the magnet several times a day.
(Even using heavy duty surgical tape).

I continue treatment using the pets Magnetic underlay. I occasionally add two or three "D-Max" magnets to the underlay. With dogs I use the magnetic dog collar. Finally I find that in addition "Magnetised Water" placed in the animals bowl rounds off the treatment. Details of treating the human condition can be found in my book. MIGRAINE HEADACHES
I've heard that magnetic necklaces can relieve or prevent migraine headaches? Is this true? If it is, how strong of magnets are required to work?

Yes, magnetic necklaces do help in migraine. However I would suggest using a Magnetic Eye Mask as well.

BIOLOGIST QUITS RESEARCH (Electro-Magnetic Field Study)

On 24 Feb this year, I read an article in the Daily Telegraph, about a molecular biologist who was considering giving up research to become a gas fitter. It seems the funding for his research was so poor and so insecure, that he would be better off being a gas fitter. He was researching into the effects of electro-magnetic fields on the body. He believes his work, which investigates how wounds heal, could eventually help to relieve the pain of arthritis and others. He says no one has so far made proper molecular studies into how such fields can speed up the healing of wounds on the body. The researcher is a Mr. Gensberge and he is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Birmingham.

MAGNETIC STUDIES

It may be true that no one has made a “proper molecular study” of how magnets heal the body but there are a lot of ordinary people who will tell you that they do help speed up the healing process.

As indicated in earlier newsletters, it is important to get the timing of the application of magnets correct. Magnets speed up blood flow and so while blood is flowing from an open wound, they should be avoided but once the wound is closed and the need is to bring repair materials to the site and remove debris, then magnets are a great help.

As in all things the application of logical common sense is required and it helps if there is training and knowledge.

FOUR QUESTIONS IN ONE LETTER

Does bi-polar mean having 2 negative magnets?
No, Bi-Polar means both poles used at the same time....Unipole means one pole only used.....
This is almost always.....the True North (South Seeking)

Can I assume the stronger and/or the higher the number of magnets the greater the affect?
Yes.....but the Gauss Measurement is important as well......the most important of all is of
course 'where you put the magnets'.

What is meant by neodymium (rare earth) magnets as described in your Premier Collection, and how do these compare to the magnets in the Bracelet and Magnetic Chain Bracelet collections?
Neodymium is a rare earth substance only relatively recently discovered. The substance
holds the 'magnetic field' very strongly and for a long time. The 'downside' of Neodymium is
that it is very expensive.....and also it can not be manufactured into large magnets.

I assume I can wear a bracelet and ring on the same hand without the magnetic affect
interfering with each other?
This will increase the 'magnetic field' to the hand and finger but they will not in any way
counter react with each other........In other words.....there is no problem wearing the two.

THICK ANKLE

I have a thick ankle can you tell me how long the ankle bracelet is and which of the three might be the most helpful. With thanks......UK

The Ankle Bracelet adjusts to fit up to about 11.5 inches round the ankle. However, you might be better with the Foot/Ankle Support, as besides giving stronger Magnetic therapy to the ankle than the Ankle Chain it also gives the ankle a good degree of support. MAGNETIC STRENGTH CORE & SURFACE

I have bought many magnetic products from you, and I have a couple of questions
regarding Gauss Strength. I have learnt that there is a difference between the surface
gauss strength and the core gauss strength, which can differ by up to 50-60%.....Europe

The advertised Gauss of both products you mention (and indeed almost all our products) is the
surface strength at the time of manufacture.....as supplied by the manufacturer.
We do not give the core value as it virtually meaningless as you can not get into or
use the core and is very difficult to actually measure. Remember too that size and in particular
'thickness' is also important...when judging the magnetic strength as well.

NEED A MAGNETIC WAISTCOAT

I already own a magnetic back belt supplied by you and have found it very satisfactory for the relief of low-back pain. I also suffer occasionally with muscular pain and Fibrositis in the upper back area between and around the shoulder blades. None of your products seems to cover this area specifically...it's as though I need a waistcoat with a magnetic back to it! Which of your products do you suggest might be most effective? Thanks for your help.......UK

The Gold 9000 Spot magnets would be ideal for your shoulders. Not only are they very easy to use.....they are also very strong. This magnetic strength is important as the shoulder area is quite dense with muscle and tissue, and less powerful magnets will not penetrate very well. The Gold 9000 can be left on until the plasters need changing......which is about a week depending how often you shower or bath. We sell re-placement plasters, you can in fact cut up ordinary household plasters and use them. The Gold 9000 magnets themselves will last up to ten years and used for many different body areas.

CROWNS AND MAGNETS

Would the Magnets in the face mask and pillow liner affect the 3 crowns I have ?

Magnets or Magnetic products will not effect your Crowns in any way. The only thing
magnets can effect are other magnetic items like micro-chips and cassette tapes.....and any
implanted health products that contain micro-chips, like pacemakers (which is an absolute
no for magnetic therapy) and implanted security chips that are used for animals.

MIGRAINE SUFFERER

My Dad gave me your catalogue after reading that migraine sufferers can benefit from magnetic therapy. I am interested in finding out which products in particular benefit migraine sufferers, if any...Thank you...UK

SPOT MAGNETS

I want the 800g spot magnets, but don't know the difference between S-1 and S-2. Could you tell me the difference?......UK

S-1 Spot Magnets are very small magnets on small plaster, which are designed for Auricular Therapy, which is acupuncture of the Ear. The Ear has lots of acupuncture points which are quite easy to access because the are near the surface.

S-2 Spot Magnets are still small, but larger than S-1s, these can be used on almost any Body Part for Magnetic Therapy on painful or tense areas. The S-2 Spot Magnets are similar (ours are a little stronger) to the ones found in the 'high street' chemists and pharmacists..

DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

I suffer with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A condition that didn't show itself until I was in my 59th year. All of the muscles in my ankles and legs are slowly seizing up and during this cold weather I suffer with excruciating pain. Have you in your travels around the magnetic world ,come across socks?

I would recommend Magnetic Insoles, (100 Plus ) but as your feet & ankles have a severe problem, I would suggest wearing them in a pair of socks at night while you are sleeping. Magnetic Therapy appears to work considerably better when the body 'and in particular the affected area' is relaxed. Although this will not cure the condition, it may well reduce the pain, which will in turn improve your walking and movement.

I am writing to say, I am pleased with the Green Insoles after wearing them in my
