Welcome to a November Newsletter........and thank you each and everyone for making this a sensational year for MAGNETIC THERAPY LTD. As we said in the last Newsletter we receive a great deal of letters about Eye Problems, so this month both Rosemary Skinner SRN and Peter Rose FSI have written short articles about this subject. We also have in this edition a review of this last years newsletters, so if you have missed any, or you are a new subscriber, you will be able to see the range of subject 'at a glance'.

EYE PROBLEMS

Eye problems range from Amblyopia –lazy eye- to Strabismus-crossed eyes-. However I shall confine this article to problems which may be encountered during the festive season.

Pink eye, is not always caused by over indulgence or lack of sleep. It can be a viral or bacterial infection. Conventional treatment may consist of antibiotics, ointment or drops if a bacterial infection. Antihistamines, corticosteroids and antiviral preparations may also be prescribed where appropriate.

Pain behind the eyes a common complaint which may occur at the same time as a headache. However this should not be ignored. If it persists consult your doctor or optician. There is the possibility that the problem is Glaucoma. Treated by reducing the pressure behind the eyes, intraocular pressure

Blurred vision, another seasonal problem which if it persists must be taken seriously. The blurry vision if combined with a constant dry mouth can be the symptoms of diabetes. Only a possibility of course, but a simple test will allay any doubts.

Dry eye. More common with the older generation, treated with a tear substitute, may be a symptom of other ocular problems. Professional help must always be sought.

The Alternative. For overall comfort I recommend magnetised water, 500ml twice a day. The "Eye Mask" (EM1) which consists of ceramic magnets has been found to be a great aid to relaxation. A must after a hectic party season. More details in my book, Magnet Therapy-A Powerful Healing Force-

EYESIGHT PROBLEMS

You must seek the help and guidance of a qualified optician when experiencing any difficulties with your vision. Some sight problems, and some related head ache problems, can be alleviated by improving the performance of the muscles that surround the eye. Using stick on magnets to surround the eye socket should improve blood flow to and from these muscles and so be of assistance. Exercising these muscles also helps. It is a fact that all physical movement requires muscular activity and exercise can improve the performance of muscles. It is an odd fact that people will know about walking and jogging to exercise leg muscles but seem to ignore some other parts of the body.

It should be kept in mind that many conditions can adversely affect eye sight, from the onset of diabetes, via trauma injury to stress. It is important that qualified medical investigation is carried out, this is important at all times but especially so if the deterioration is sudden and without an obvious cause

If the eyes are inflamed then, after checking with medical expert, try Euphrasia (Eye Bright) this can be massaged into closed eyelids and around the eye. Some preparations can be diluted and taken internally. You must read the instructions or follow directions from your practitioner.

If the cause is stress or over tiredness Facial massage with particular attention to the areas around the eyes, can be of great help. The use of relaxant oils, such as sandalwood, will help but avoid getting in the eye.

A qualified Shiatsu practitioner or acupuncturist will check the general energy levels in your body and give a treatment that will be aimed at rectifying the cause of the problem. Each case is individual and so needs specific treatment suited to it.

It is obvious that if you normally wear glasses or contact lenses you should check the prescription is still correct

What is the rating of the bed magnets?

Sorry.....We do not sell/stock Bed Magnets any more....we always recommend Magnetic Insoles
worn in a pair of socks....this tends to far more effective for Night Cramps anyway.

I can't use a cell phone due to headaches and confusion that it causes me. Now I am beginning to experience the same thing from my new computer monitor. Will this item neutralize the magnetic pulses that are causing this. Thanks.....USA

It is not Magnetic Pulses that are causing your problem.....it is probably Low Level
Radiation which is very different and quite a common problem.
Yes, that is what the ADR shields are designed to do absorb and deflect this.

BLOOD PRESSURE
I am very confused. I have high blood pressure and have been told that if I wear a bi polar bracelet on my right arm, it will reduce my blood pressure. I am trying to find a bi polar magnetic bracelet and am confused as to what I should be looking for. I currently wear a bracelet with 10 magnets in. I don't know whether they are all north or what. Please can you point me to a bracelet in your range which would be a bi polar magnetic one.....USA
