Rosemary Skinner SRN has written about Fibroids this month which I know will be of much interest to many of you. Peter Rose FSI this month talks about the forthcoming New Regulations (a hot topic at the moment) and Magnetic Therapy. Here is Rosemary......

Perhaps one of the most worrying of women’s problems is fibroids. A fibroid is a benign tumour of fibrous and muscular tissue, which may develop in the muscular wall of the uterus. Fibroids are common and occur in about 1 in 5 women and can vary in size from small to very large in some cases there can be more than one tumour. The cause is not known, but fibroids are much more common in women who have not had children. While they may occur any time between puberty and the change of life, they are generally recognised between the ages of 35 and 45.

The symptoms vary. Small fibroids generally do not give rise to any symptoms. The larger the fibroid the more it involves the inner aspect of the uterus, the more likely symptoms are to occur. The symptoms are generally, menstrual irregularity consisting of excessive loss of blood or extended length of period and pain. The level of pain varies depending on the size of the fibroids. In cases of excessive blood loss many women develop anaemia.

Treatment. In some cases in which mild symptoms occur, or the women are approaching the menopause, hormone treatment is often recommended

When symptoms are severe, surgical removal of the fibroid is performed, which in some cases involves a hysterectomy.

Treatment - The alternative
Place the North Pole of a " D-Max Neodymium Magnet" over the abdomen, four to six hours daily for a period of two to three weeks.

Take 6 fl. ozs of North Pole magnetised water twice daily. For information on how to make magnetised water please see page 20 of my book "Magnet Therapy- A Powerful Healing Force". Remember that the use of magnets is contra indicated during pregnancy.

MAGNET THERAPY

Now we are being forced ( by the EU bureaucrats) to abandon hundreds, if not thousands of years experience in self administered health care, the use of magnets and body work therapies will be amongst the very few options for those who wish to avoid being part of the "market place" of the
pharmaceutical giants.

We all know how misleading statistics can be. We all know that governments and drug companies put the most favourable "spin" on things. We all know that when we are presented with "facts" we should look more carefully at the source but the other day I heard part of a radio program that surprised me with the revelation of how far deception is practiced. It was said that some drug trail results are "published" into the public domain in the most misleading ways possible. It seems it has been a practice to headline that a new medication is 50 times more effective. What is not stated so clearly, is that this is 50 times more effective than the placebo used as a reference point in the trial. By it's very nature a placebo, as used in a controlled trial, is intended to be a non effective substance, i.e. it is intended to have a zero effect. 50 times zero is zero. All research on any form of health care; from chemical drugs, surgical procedure, magnets and aromatherapy, should be conducted in a way that is truly holistic. Parameters and datum points, required outcomes etc should be set by experienced practitioners who deal with the health problems of patient/clients within the "field" being explored.. The whole cycle of the health problem should be included in the trail and in the published results. From cause of the illness, the way it transmits to the patient, then through all the 6 stages of the cycle** and beyond.
The trial should also include post recovery effects- side effects and chemical/molecular changes that may affect future generations of children. If a complete picture is shown and honestly presented, then natural
therapies will be seen as having a real and necessary future in total health care.

[The first stage in recovery from any disorder is coping, the next is understanding, the third is appropriate action, the fourth is healing, the fifth is convalescence and the sixth is return to wellbeing. Discovering the cause, {the understanding part} requires the help of a good therapist/practitioner or a good honest friend. The coping bit and the action bit can involve use of magnets. Use magnets to relieve immediate pain, use reflexology, relaxation, massage, Shiatsu etc. Allow your body to cope, then find the cause. In some cases the coping activity will point out the cause. Inability to relax may be the problem. In some cases where Shiatsu has been used, with magnets between therapy sessions, as an initial pain relief and coping strategy, the therapist will have found energy blockages and or muscular or postural problems. These can be the cause.]

UNDERSTANDING GAUSS STRENGTH

Please could you tell me the equivalent to 100 gauss. Thanks....USA (R)

Sorry, there is not really an equivalent to Gauss.....only another measurement called Tesla,
1 tesla = 10.000 gauss. But the word Tesla is hardly ever used now.....certainly not in the field of
Magnet Therapy. Gauss is the unit of measurement that manufacturers put on the magnet at the time of
manufacture. This is not an accurate measurement of magnetic strength though, as other factors
contribute to the strength of the magnet. Size and weight of the magnet are very important. Gauss is
only a guideline to the magnet's strength and is actually based on how much weight the magnet will
lift per square centimeter.

MAGNETIC WATER

I have been drinking North Pole water for some time now, and wonder, is there a limit to quantity drunk or any limit to the time span? A friend of mine who is suffering from arthritis and gout, is drinking bipolar water and I had told her the recommended dosage, but she has been drinking bipolar water all day, about 2 litres!! Is there any harm in this?? I quite like the smooth taste of the water and could quite easily drink in preference to ordinary tap water.

Your own body is always the best judge.......I myself have drunk a lot of magnetic water for many years and have not had a day off work for over thirty years, 'fingers crossed of course' . That having been said, Rosemary Skinner SRN always suggests moderation, and her advice is always first class. So yes, by all means drink plenty of magnetic water but only ever the amount that you 'feel' comfortable with.

ACNE

Could you please advise me on what kind of product would benefit acne please?.....UK

Drinking magnetic water is the most popular and commonly recommended treatments in all the books on Magnet Therapy. There are many ways of magnetizing water and we have several products on the website that do this. Applying the North Pole of a Ceramic Wafer Magnet to the affected area can be very beneficial, we are told. So too is washing the affected area with Magnetic Water........
Cutting down on dairy products is a strong suggestion as well.

HAIR LOSS

Would magnets be helpful in healing alopecia [some hair loss] ?
If so what format would be best ?.....USA

When people started sleeping on Magnetic Overlays many reported an improvement in 'hair growth' and still do. Our hair brush has been very successful for many people too. But obviously we can not tell you, using our products will make anyone's 'hair grow' and would you really be our customer if we did make

such claims. If I were you though, I certainly would try the Magnetic Hairbrush.

SCIATICA

I looked up sciatic pain and ended up at your site. What do you have that would be specifically helpful for the sciatic nerve? I am familiar with magnets and use them now on the wrists. Thank you.......USA

You need to apply strong magnets to the site of the problem, very often (not always) this is the lower back, the pain can be anywhere down the sciatic nerve (which runs down the legs).

MAGNETIC MAGIC

I have had arthritis in both feet for several years. This year I cancelled my holiday because of my inability to walk very far and the increase in pain when trying to move. Having prescribed numerous courses of treatment by my doctor, none of which helped at all, my son suggested magnetic insoles and ordered them for me on-line.
