ANXIETY  By Rosemary Skinner S.R.N.

For the past two years anxiety disorders have been discussed more than ever before. Anxiety covers a broad range of illnesses from Panic disorders to Post Traumatic Stress to Phobias. With six or more anxiety disorders, each with different symptoms, they share the common symptom of excessive fear.
A little anxiety is a good thing; it helps you to be become aware of your surroundings and motivates you to take action. Problems occur when problems spin out of control.
Have you met someone who always seems to worry over almost nothing? They may be suffering from what is described as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Symptoms include restlessness, sleeping disorders and the feeling of being unable to relax.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is probably the most discussed anxiety disorder. Called “Shell shock” during the early part of the 20^th. Century. The illness was not recognized at the time. Caused by a traumatic event, war, disaster, and serious accident. Symptoms range from aggression, insomnia, to depression. Many sufferers do not suffer symptoms until several months later. Reminders of the event often act as a trigger to the illness. Meeting people who shared the experience, anniversaries, and even watching a recording of the event on television can trigger the disorder.

Panic Disorder. A panic attack can take place at any time without warning. To the sufferer an attack may show similar symptoms to that of a heart attack. Shallow breathing, increased pulse rate, loss of balance, and feelings of great fear. Untreated panic disorder can lead to Phobias.
I must point out that the above disorders only represent a small example of anxiety conditions. Your doctor should be consulted should you feel that your symptoms, if any, are disruptive to your day-to-day life.

Conventional Treatment Drug therapy may include tranquillizers. Tricyclic Antidepressants and Prozac for panic disorders. Psychotherapy and behavior therapy.
The Alternative. Neuro linguistic programming (N.L.P.) Hypnotherapy. 
Transcendental Meditation ( TM )

NASA - SCIENTISTS MEASURE THE MOST POWERFUL MAGNET KNOWN

Scientists have identified the most magnetic object known in the Universe, the result of the first direct measurement of a magnetic field around a peculiar neutron star first observed nearly 25 years ago.

By following the fate of a tiny proton whipping about at near light speed close to the neutron star with NASA's Rossi X-ray Explorer satellite, scientists calculated this star's magnetic field to be up to 10 times more powerful than previously thought -- with a force strong enough to slow a steel locomotive from as far away as the Moon.

This object, named SGR 1806-20, is one of only 10 unusual neutron stars classified as magnetars, thousands of times more magnetic than ordinary neutron stars and billions of times more magnetic than the most powerful magnets built on Earth. The strength of its magnetic field is approximately a million billion (10^15) Gauss, according to a team led by Alaa Ibrahim, a doctoral candidate at George Washington University conducting research at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.

MAGNET THERAPY - SELF HELP by Peter Rose FSI

As I get even older and the wear and tear of 30 years as a body work practitioner starts to take effect, I find I am getting increasingly grateful to the help I get from magnets.
A spell of physical hard work, hammering in fencing posts, in the bitterly cold wind at sub zero temperatures, did my wrists a power of no good. But spot magnets placed on the inner wrist, both arms, one  above the wrist crease and one on the finger side of the same wrist crease (  below  the little finger, when looking at palm of hand,  on an imaginary line drawn from the little finger  about half inch--10mm- in towards to centre.).  So I ended up with  magnets about 2 inches --50mm -- apart either side of wrist crease and about 10mm in from  little finger end of the hand.  Other magnets were placed on Large intestine 4 and Large intestine 11. By next morning the pain had gone and I had full use of my hands, without the need for anti inflammatory medication.

A sustained "episode" of using a hand saw to precision cut the parts to make a kitchen cabinet- none of your ready made kits, this had to fit into an exact space- led to a similar discomfort on the arm. Again magnets to the
rescue. Placing spot magnets on the  "point" of the shoulder and in the centre of the discomfort meant that by next morning I was able to have free use of the arm.

The use of self administered spot magnets will give the best results if the application is as near immediate as possible. Have a few packs of magnets in your medicine cabinet- away from homoeopathic remedies- ready to use as soon as they are needed. The usual cautions must be observed, if there is any suspicion of serious damage.

LOWER BACK PAIN

My wife gave me one of your catalogues (Edition 10), after she received one of your bracelets. 
She seems to be happy with the product, and thought I should inquire about the magnetic "spots" 
or "patches" that I could use. 
They are located on Pages 15 (Gold 9000) and 19 (Epaule Therapy Patch). 
I had back surgery 3 years ago and occasionally experience some low back pain. 
I would like to be able to use the patches and just leave them there. So, these questions arise: 
How long can I leave them on my body before they have to be replaced? 
Will they remain attached to my body in a shower? 
Under what circumstances would these patches/sports have to be removed and then replaced?

VARICOSE VEINS (and me as well)

Please could you tell me if Magnetic Therapy could aid someone who suffers with varicose veins? 
And which product do you recommend? Thank you for your time and assistance....USA

We do not have any product specifically designed for Varicose Veins. The Insoles worn in a pair of socks at 
night when the body is relaxed helps a lot of people. I personally have a bad  varicose vein which is on the 
inside of my right knee, caused by a sport injury when I was younger. I use a Knee Wrap (BWK-25) 
when it becomes painful and lose the pain quite fast.....However it only eliminates the pain.....it has never 
healed. But of course I am pain free.

PANIC ANXIETY ATTACKS

I found you site online and wondered if you could help/advise me?  
I am 45 and have suffered from ME for over 10 years now and although much improved still 
have residual symptoms and suffer from panic/anxiety attacks also. 

One of the points we have had over many years now is customers report after using magnets

for some time is a reduction in panic/anxiety problems. This feedback has never though been

focused on any single product.....more just using Magnetic Therapy. We would point out that 

this is just an opinion, but an opinion reported many times over quite a few years now.

PAINFUL & BLOCKED SINUSES

I wonder if you are able to advise me if any of your products would be suitable for me. 
I have suffered with painful/blocked sinuses on and off for years and no medicines seem to help. 
If magnets could help, please could you advise me on which product to try?......UK
