Welcome to our January Newsletter. Some how Christmas seems a long time ago now. This month we seem to have had a lot of mail sent to us with a virus in it. These are often mostly spread totally with out the knowledge of the sender. Our anti-virus protection automatically deletes these email letters. The Immune System

We have all read articles in the press that mention" The Immune System". Many different labels are attached. The system may "Compromised" or Deficient". The immune system is made up of many cells that together protect the body from fungal, parasitic, bacterial, viral infections and from the growth of tumor cells. The cells within the immune system can kill or engulf the above invasions.
Initially all of the cells of the immune system come from bone marrow. The bone marrow produces red blood cells and platelets in addition to producing B cells and natural killer cells.
The thymus gland produces T Cells from prothmymocytes, which migrate from the bone marrow. T cells are released in to the blood stream.
The Spleen is made up of T cells, B cells, red blood cells, killer cells plus others. It is the immunologic blood filter. Immune response takes place when antigens (foreign bodies) are captured and the T and B cells produce antibodies. Lymph Nodes act in a similar manner to the spleen in dealing with lymph.
The Magnetic Response
- Sleeping on a magnetic bed
- Place north Pole of D-Max Neodymium magnet on the thymus gland for two to four hours daily
- Magnetic water. Initially drink 6 ounces of North Pole water for four days, followed by four days of South Pole water
- Eliminate stress by following a relaxation regimen

MAGNETS AND CIRCULATION

Magnets can affect the body at both microscopic and at overall levels. If the magnets can be placed so that they influence a section of blood vessel from all sides, that is the magnets surround the tube carrying the fluid flow, then the flow at that place will be improved locally and there will be an improvement in the alignment of the molecules, of the blood flowing through that section. 60 to 70% of body mass in humans is water and the magnetic fields ability to influence the flow of water can be seen all around us, from the ebb and flow of tide to the use of electro magnetic induction coils to soften water.
MAGNETIC FIELD
Magnetic fields interact with the structure of human body cells to cause changes to the processing of proteins, hormones and enzymes. The changes are caused by the effect the magnetic field has on the outer layer of a cell, which is a double layer of molecules with complex molecules sandwiched in this double layer. It is understood that some of these complex molecules serve as channels that help the transfer, across cell walls, of material. This is all at molecular level but each minuscule effect adds up. It seems that magnetic influence in the human body is by two different physical effects, by directly affecting the alignment of molecules and by electro-magnetic induction within cell structures. Electromagnetic induction is the process by which electricity is generated when a magnet is moved within a coil of wire a small electric current is generated within that wire. The energy from the magnetic field causing vibration of electrons within the wire and this is electricity.
PARADOX
One paradox of all this is that one of the basic laws of physics is that energy can not be created or destroyed, only transformed. The magnet does not loose its power however much the energy is taken up by other material and this seems at odds with the laws of physics. The solution is that the electricity is only generated when the magnet moves relative to the coil of wire and in order for the magnet to move there must be a supply of energy to create the movement. It is this move creating energy that is being transformed, leave the magnet it's self unchanged. How magnets create minute electrical currents in human body cells is more complex. In this case the cell is providing the movement and the energy that is to be transformed into a tiny electrical charge.
We then have two effects from magnets placed on the human body, one that aligns molecules in fluids and improves the flow of that fluid, i.e. blood and the other that causes very tiny electrical currents to occur within cells and this influences the transfer of material across the cells, which in turn improves the take up of substances into those cells. There is also some speculation that a magnetic field improves the
"ionic exchange" thus allowing waste products to leave a cell more efficiently. There are some who believe that magnets affect the chemical balance-- the pH balance-- within the body and thus affect the chemical changes and composition of cell structures but this is not accepted by most scientists as yet. Much more work remains to be done at research levels to determine why magnets have the beneficial effects that they do.

I am interested in magnetic therapy for aches and pains, fatigue, due to M. E,
What product would be best ? (e.g. bracelet or insoles or both) ?
Could explain the level of magnetic strengths and which is most effective long term.....USA
Most ME sufferer's tell us that Magnetic Insoles work for them best. The ones they use are always Bi-Polar and we have several available. However drinking Magnetic Water has also proved popular, and one person told us that after suffering ME for over 7 years, she was almost back to complete recovery after regularly drinking Magnetic Water for about three months. Of course this is only one person, and every one is different. But it does suggest that there may be some relief and it is well worth finding out which is best for you. And (if you would) keep us informed in your progress. Any of the Bi-Polar Bracelets may help a little.
ARTHRITIS
I have a client at the moment enquiring about the use of magnetic therapy on a painful ankle affected with rheumatoid arthritis. I do not know much about the applications for magnetic therapies and I would like to find out. I would appreciate some information about your magnet products for the foot/ankle and whether you think it may be beneficial in this instance.....USA
We find the most of the people that use Magnet Therapy for Arthritis find some degree of improvement in the condition.......this can of course vary, depending on the person and the progression of the condition. However using magnets or Magnetic Wraps directly on and around the painful joint often reduces the pain, once the pain is reduced, natural movement improves, often leading to sometimes quite a dramatic improvement.
Magnetic Wraps do have a down side though with arthritic conditions, (certainly not all) as they can heat up the area, which can inflame the condition. You will see we have a Knee Wrap with a hole in the Knee Cap (Open Patella) this allows the joint to maintain it's normal temperature. We are looking to be able to have this option with all the wraps in the future. In the meantime, spot magnets positioned around the joint, we have found, can produce very good results, without increasing the heat on the joint. Hope this has helped you a little !
ALLERGY TO METAL
My original idea was to order some magnetic bracelets, but I have a severe allergic reaction to some jewellery. I seem to be OK with silver rings etc, but question plated items because of nickel, so 'gold' causes me problems, so did a 'copper magnetic bracelet' I tried from XXXX the chemist !
What about yours in regards to materials used? Have you a range to suit this difficulty!.....USA
If you do have any reaction to metal on the skin, nickel is often the cause. However gold or silver plating over the top of the nickel normally overcomes this problem. (Nickel is a constituent of almost all metal magnets) The metal that seems to have the least 'allergic response' is Stainless Steel and very few people seem to have a problem with that. If you are unable to use any metal whatsoever, then we have a range of Hematite Bracelets that will be just what you want. You will not have any skin reaction to Hematite and as well as being good for magnetizing, and it also looks attractive too.
Hematite is not metal but a mineral closely related to Magnetite which is of course the material that was used for the very first magnets, thousands of years ago. Magnetite is also were we derive the name Magnet
