I was asked the question; can magnetic therapy reach into the ethereal (spiritual) part of a patient? The ethereal part of a human is connected to the physical entity via the emotions and the intuition. Emotions are rooted in the physical but the emotional experiences are also the experiences of the ethereal. Knowledgeable use of magnetic therapy, to remove tensions and blocks, in the physical also release emotional constrictions and so they do affect the ethereal.
There is also the supposition that magnetic flux and electro magnetic waves can affect human ethereal forces. Since the continuous force that emanates from a permanent magnet is a natural effect and pulses of electromagnetic forces are not; at least they are not on this planet; it is reasonable that the magnetic effect of a permanent magnet is helpful or neutral while the electro magnetic influence could be detrimental.
Some suggest that the colossal amount of radio frequency electro magnetic energy, that we are constantly subjected to, are causing harm. There are indications that wearing permanent magnets (bracelets, belts necklaces etc) limit this damage.
Whilst I do not have science based evidence, I do think that this sounds plausible. While considering the above I had to ask myself what do other people mean by “The ethereal part” and this leads to the whole problem of communication within health care. Take a simple non health care example—“being careful how you dress”—To most ladies I expect that this means choosing what to wear with care; but to many people who have physically demanding work, out in hostile environments, this will mean putting on clothes boots etc with care to ensure comfort and function of the protection. So such a simple phrase can mean different things to different people. Put this in a health care situation and you have the potential for misunderstanding and so for serious consequences. Not every patient can be trained to a level where they can understand the human body and so speak, and hear, with equal confidence that complete communication between practitioner and patient, has taken place. This is why, when in my practice, I use books with anatomical drawings and photos, to ensure the patient can see what is going on in there body.
THE QUESTION
Getting back to the original question, what is the ethereal part of a human being? It is that part which is non physical, that part which “contains”, encompasses the soul and the spirit; it includes the intuitive processes, which communicate between the ethereal and the physical. The emotions being part of this communication but as the emotions are rooted in the physical they are not considered to be ethereal.
Magnetic healing has such a huge potential. This may seem strange to claim, considering how long humans have sued magnets for healing, but I am sure we are only just beginning to touch the potential benefits. We are only just reaching into understanding. The physical benefits I had, from wearing a magnet containing knee support, while recently recovering from damage to ligaments, is only a small part of the potential we could all gain from magnetic therapy.
Of course all this depends on the active will of the patient. No therapist, surgeon or practitioner can impose wellness on a patient. The absence of pain does not make for wellbeing; any more than the absence of war is actually peace. The only person who can make a patient truly well is that patient. A therapist, particularly a magnetic therapist can relieve pain, they can assist in many ways but the achievement of true wellness needs the active participation of the patient. When dealing with emotional and ethereal aspects this become both more difficult and more necessary.
