TRAINING IN MAGNETIC THERAPY

The public perception of natural healing is that it still contains a certain amount of, what used to be called, “new age” idealism. One of the misconceptions arising from this is that natural medicine practitioners practice purely by intuition and are not qualified in anything. Nothing could be further from the truth. These days acceptable practitioners of acupuncture, homoeopathy, shiatsu and aromatherapy, etc. are all qualified and their qualifications are recognized by professional bodies acting within that discipline. The bodies all have codes of conduct and procedures for dealing with any complaints. These professional bodies require proof of training, willingness to comply with codes of practice and they facilitate such things as insurance. Insurance companies like to know the practitioners have made a serious study of the subject and are safe to practice.

Intuition does have an important part to play in all aspects of health care, even a brain surgeon uses his intuitive process some of the time but the intuition is a guidance system. It needs intellectual knowledge to turn the guidance advice into practical action. This is where training in anatomy and the specific skills of the therapy come into play.

For people who do not wish to practice professionally but may only wish to help themselves and family members; study is still advisable. The more you know, the better you will be able to use the “tools” you have.
