FEET AND MAGNETIC INSOLES

The feet are wonderful inventions. They not only stop our legs from fraying but they support our weight, they help enable us to turn, walk, run and dance. Feet not only have a huge multitude of uses they also can lead to seemingly disconnected health problems. Persistent head aches have been alleviated by changing the fitments inside the patient’s shoes. Because our feet have a lot of effect on our posture, they can affect so many other parts of the body. As usual, the reverse also applies; other parts of the body can affect the feet. Sciatic nerve disruption between the vertebrae lumbar 5 and lumbar 4, causes pain down the leg to the large toe while sciatic never disruption between fifth lumbar vertebra and first sacral vertebra causes pain down to the little toe.
Foot Pain - UK football fans will know all about broken metatarsal bones and we all know people who are “flat footed” compared to others who have high insteps. The technical term for flat footed is “excessive pronation” and is shown up in the wet foot test—the print left by a wet foot shows contact between the floor and the entire bottom surface of the foot. While flat footedness does not indicate a problem by itself it can indicate a change in the posture and use of the lower leg, which increases the load on the knee and hip joints. This is particularly so if the amount of pronation has changed over a short period of time.
One of the more common complaints is of a painful heel.(heel spur) The heel bone is normally cushioned by a layer of fatty tissue but this can become squeezed out towards the sides of the heel leaving less protection for the heel. Problems like planter fasciitis or heal spur can also be treated. Reducing the pain is the first step, conditions like planter fasciitis can indeed be very painful.
