LOSING WEIGHT AND MAGNOTHERAPY By Rosemary Skinner S.R.N.
Before discussing losing weight we have to examine how the vast majority of overweight people got in to this condition. Obesity is the label given to people who are 20% or more over weight. The vast majority of people over weight are in that condition due to over eating. For them health professionals reject claims of, slow metabolism, I don’t over eat, it’s my genes.
In its simplest form food eaten is converted into energy. The energy is measured in calories or joules (Kcal/K.j). If your intake of energy exceeds that expended the surplus is converted into body fat. Simple. We all know that. Why then are almost half of us over our recommended body weight? Losing weight is the dream of almost 40% of the western worlds population.
The solution is rather simplistic. Eat less! This is the advice given to us, with a diet sheet, by many health professionals. Of whom many are slim athletic types who may not fully understand the difficulties of losing weight. We think!
If you wish to lose weight I recommend a four-point strategy.
Motivation
Research
Take your time, work through hour to hour. Medium term learn the calorific values of different foods. Find out how sugars, fats, and carbohydrates are metabolized in the body.
Preparation.
Action.
Remove fat from meat. Increase the portions of green vegetables Dinner, similar to lunch. Eat only two slices of bread per day whole meal of course. Feel hungry? Eat an apple. Buy quality food. You can afford it now that you have given up burgers. Drink an extra 2 litres of water per day
Exercise more frequently. This does not mean that you have to rush out, and buy a tracksuit. Walk around the block three times a week. Climb the stairs instead of using the elevator. Weigh yourself at a set time and remember to use the same scales on a weekly basis
Many persistent weight watchers have read this before. There are no short cuts.
This system works. Now that your coffee tastes so bad, why not give it up as well. Now you really will feel better. For an added feeling of well being try taking one half litres of North Pole magnetised water three times a day.

Start the day with a substantial breakfast. Cereal, fruit juice and egg. No sugar on the cereal or in your tea or coffee. You will not find the need to snack before lunch. Lunch as normal; avoid thick soups, no sugar in your coffee.Go through the list of foods eaten over the past three days. If you have been honest you will notice all the cookies, chocolate bars, sandwiches, soft drinks, burgers and ice cream. That would cover just mornings. Find out the optimum weight for your height and sex. Easy if you are motivated. Write down every thing you ate yesterday and two days previously. Why do you want to lose weight? Do you find it difficult to buy your size in clothing? Do you want to die prematurely leaving your family distraught? Do you want to be incapacitated long before retirement age? Do you want to reach retirement age? Now that you really want to lose weight, read on. |
