INFLUENZA AND MAGNETIC THERAPY
By Rosemary Skinner SRN

Influenza is a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory tract affecting the nose, throat, and lungs. There are three main types of flu virus. A and B have the greatest impact on human health. Influenza A is the virus that has always been the most problematic; over time it has been responsible for the world’s worst epidemics. Millions of people died in the epidemic of 1918. The influenza virus can change. Minor changes on the surface of the virus involving proteins called haemagglutinin H and neuraminidase N occur between each influenza season, the reason why it is necessary to reformulate the flu vaccine on a regular basis. The viruses are named after the area of the world where they are thought to have originated such as Hong Kong, Panama or Fuji, the latest strain

Symptoms

Prevention.

Conventional treatment. Bed rest. Drink plenty of fluids. Treat the symptoms with painkillers and anti –inflammatory drugs. (No aspirin for children under 16). There are newer preparations that on medical prescription will reduce the severity of flu, they are high cost and as a result are not generally available. Antibiotics are not given for flu, they do not kill viruses. They are sometimes prescribed if there is a danger of a secondary infection
