Symptoms generally consist of dizziness, fatigue, and nausea which may progress to vomiting. All most half of airline passengers will experience some degree of motion sickness when encountering heavy turbulence and it has been found that fear or anxiety can promote symptoms. Some individuals seem to be naturally prone to this problem since childhood. You are in good company! Lord Nelson was a sufferer. Which perhaps indicates that it need not be too debilitating.

Most people get relief on a ship by sitting on deck, in a breeze, keeping their head up and looking at the horizon. Many doctors suggest going to areas of a ship which has the least movement such as near the centre. I always suggest going on deck. Cooler air which helps with the slight fever symptoms and the confidence that you will not embarrass yourself.   Several medications are now available both by prescription and over the counter that may prevent or limit the symptoms of motion sickness. I always suggest a consultation with your doctor or pharmacist before travel.

What can “Magnetic Therapy” do to help? For several years I have recommended Gold 9000 neodymium (rare earth) magnets”. Placed behind the ear two hours prior to travel. Why these? I have of course tried virtually every magnet available and I always come back to the Gold 9000 neodymium. It is uncomfortable to walk around with anything larger.
